It has been stormy here for about two weeks now. It’s ridiculous, but I must say I do love the giant gusts of wind. They do make shooting this skirt difficult without wearing shorts underneath (I am – most definitely). I’ve been venturing out trying to find fun locations to shoot lately, and it’s been so much fun. I’m hoping that Scott can come with me next time, because lugging my tripod around is not fun.

It’s been a roller coaster of a week, and I’m about to dive into an intense work weekend (that’s only Saturday & Sunday). By Sunday night I will be on maybe 3 hours of sleep, and have worked over 35 hours in two day, so I will be pretty loopy. I took advantage of my early work day yesterday, and finally shot this Eloquii Sheath Dress. I’ve had it on my styling rack for about a month, and I’m so glad I finally found time to shoot it. I wasn’t a fan of it at first – drop waists aren’t exactly flattering on my figure – but I’m in love with this dress. The fit is great, it’s well made, and it feels incredibly comfortable, edgy and feminine to wear. I love that I can through a denim jacket over this dress and make it casual, or put on a blazer and some tights to dress it up. It’s definitely a great piece to have. I’m thinking about actually purchasing it from Gwynnie Bee (did you know you can do that?!). I checked Eloquii, and it’s completely sold out, which made me a sad girl. Regardless of whether I snatch this one up or not, I’m definitely hanging onto it a bit longer!
Are you loving all of these designer collabs with Target lately? I’m really looking forward to the newest collaboration, Prabal Gurung for Target, which launches February 10th (that’s in 12 days people!). It will be available in sizes 2 – 16, and sizes XS – XL. If you have some time, check out the video featured on Target’s site. I love what Prabal has to say about this project – “The reason I wanted to do this collaboration with Target was to offer what I do to a wider audience, and I want to make clothes that make women look beautiful. My job as a designer is to do that. One thing I kept on coming back to was the idea of love, whether it’s having it, pining for it, losing it, wanting it. Most of the collection that I do has been inspired by love. If they can feel even a little bit of the love that I felt while I was designing this, I’ll consider it a job well done.”
I’m loving all of the bright colors, bold prints, and unique shapes in this collection. The blue dress below is one of my absolutely favorites. I cannot wait to try it on. The fluorescent yellow heels are definitely going on my Spring/Summer Must Haves list!
Searching for the perfect basic heeled sandal? Look no further! You know I will be scooping up these beauties as soon as the collection has launched. They look perfect, and are exactly what I’ve been looking for.
What do you think? Are you feeling this collection? Which piece is your favorite? You can check out the full Lookbook to see more of what’s to come. Remember, February 10th! Mark your calendars! I’m sure this collection is going to fly off the racks.
