I’ve recently decided to venture into the uncharted waters(uncharted for me, anyway) of nail art. I always love the way it looks, and have always wanted to be able to do it, but never felt I had the time or patience. This is my second set of nail art (see my Valentines Day nails I posted on Instagram), and I have to say, it’s really fun to do! While I am still starting out in this new venture, I am definitely liking it. Anyway, to see how I created this look, read on.

For this look, you will need white nail polish with a skinny brush (Mine happened to come with it from a French Manicure set I have), Five different pastel or spring color nail polishes, and a matte top coat.

First, Paint each one of your nails a different color, making sure that each color is good, solid and even. I had to paint three coats of the yellow to get it to be the color I wanted.

Next paint the Matte Top Coat onto your nails, and let it dry. Mine from Butter London doesn’t take terribly long to dry, maybe about 5 -10 minutes.

Then take your white nail polish with a skinny brush (above) and begin creating designs on your nails (below). I chose to do all different lines, polka dots, etc. Get creative, it’s all in good fun!
Once your designs have dried, apply another coat of the Matte Top Coat and allow to dry. Then, voilà! You’ve got yourself your own custom created DIY Easter Themed Nails.

Super cute!

Kudos to you for doing the nail art as I don’t have the patience for it. But I really like the Easter design! Don’t you just love that matte finish? It’s awesome.

I love the nails! Does it have to be matte for the top coat? I’m old school and love shiny nails. I usually do pearl or glitter nails but I’ve got to try some designs.
