I’m at the point where the wedding is speeding towards my face & I’m not prepared for impact. I could definitely deal with it creeping up, but now that time is literally flying past me, I’m starting to freak out. Most of my To-Do’s are completed, with only the last minute details left undone. It’s all just become so over whelming. I always told myself that I would be completely fine planning my wedding. It wouldn’t be too bad, and I would remain calm, relaxed and stress-free. Well you can throw all that to the wind because I’m a jumbled up sack of potatoes at the moment. I know that in the end, things will work out fine and it will be a beautiful day, despite the fact that I want to escape from every thing that has to do with the wedding for a little while. I just want to run screaming, flailing my arms about into oblivion. I haven’t been this stressed out in a long time. Ever since my years in college, I’ve become a care-free, go with the flow, chilled out girl. You know, the kind that can handle anything life throws at her and just say “hey, everything is going to be fine. No need to stress.” I think amidst all of the chaos in preparing for the big day I’ve lost the cool, calm & collected Kirstin and am now the panic-ed, stressed out, about to lose it Kirstin. I need to try to take a deep breath (without my chest feeling like it’s caving in), and get through it. I’m so thankful Scott hasn’t thrown in the towel with all of my craziness. He really keeps me sane. At least there’s that.

love the mix of patterns here! and love the pop of red you got going on with the bag and shoes

First, love the OOTD, love the doggys! And (((KIRSTEN))) With my second wedding (1995), I actually didn’t have that “typical bride feeling” that you describe – even with moving out of state 5 weeks before the wedding – until the week before the wedding and we came back home and THEN – THEN! yes THEN IT HIT! Tidbits stressing me out included my wedding ring that didn’t fit & the jeweler refusing to resize it, ergo, I had to find a new jeweler who could work in less than a week! as well as a state health law that had changed considerably since the first time I was married and caused – lets just say – humiliation -that could have been avoided if I had known it was like that (i.e. I would have just gone to a private doc, instead of being questioned like a suspect by a public health doctor about my contraception practices & sexual history!!! the groom btw went mute & I had to answer for him!) … so, Kirsten, yeahhh, girl, I’ve been there. It’s normal! even if the situations are not! (((KIRSTEN))) You’ll make it, you’ll make it!
Deep breaths! I am excited for you and your big day
The outfit is adorable, and so are your pups!

What Lola Wants
Take a deep breath…just make a list.
That’s what I did. Check stuff off and keep at it till it’s all done…then the wedding arrives and you wonder why you stressed out so much because everything WILL BE PERFECT!!
XOXO
I can’t even imagine that kind of stress and planning. Of course in the end it’ll turn out perfect and well worth the hair pulling. hehe

I helped plan two of my friends weddings in the past and all I can say is breathe. breathe. breathe … and drink plenty of water + a massage will help as well! I’m sure you’re a bit stressed, but just think about how happy your special day will be. I adore that printed shirt on you! xx Thanks for your comments, always appreciated dear!

I can offer no support as far as the wedding. I got so overwhelmed that I went to the courthouse! Don’t be like me. Enjoy your planning and your day.
I love the pattern matching in this outfit! It’s colorful, but not overpowering. (And I can’t help it, I have a sick love for matching my shoes & purse.)
Hang in there lady…It’s all worth it in the end! Love the bag!
