This is my favorite style and fit of vintage dresses. When I spot these, or anything similar, I have to try it on. I’m the type of gal that goes into the fitting room with a bundle of stuff, but when I get to that one piece, I speak quietly to myself “please let this fit and look absolutely perfect” over and over again. Also – a good tip to add for those of you who use fitting rooms (and I know that’s pretty much all of you) – don’t face the mirror as you try on the item. Wait until you’ve got it fully on and then turn around and give yourself a completed presentation of the garment. It’s actually much easier to make a decision that way, and it’s really exciting when you turn around and see a wonderful surprise. Believe me – it’s much more effective shopping. I feel like a 1950s house wife in this dress. All I’m missing is my apron!
