Mushrooms!!!! That was my first thought when I saw this dress. I saw it hiding on the rack at Goodwill and I had to have it – purely for the print if nothing else. I did a bit of altering to this dress before it ended up looking like this. It was originally floor length, with big, gigantic dolman long sleeves (super unflattering, may I add). For $4 it was totally and completely worth it. I went at it for about an hour at my sewing machine. The end result? A much more desirable length, and no more ugly sleeves. I made it sleeveless, which is much more suitable for Florida’s tropical climate. I’m still absolutely smitten by the print and the amazing ruffle collar on this dress. It’s just true love.

Oh Wow, Kirstin you look so gorgeous in this. That is one cool print! Nice find! I love how you saw so much potential in it even though it needed some altering. I would have never known you had to alter it though. You did a really amazing job! Also, that blazer is so perfect and I see that it’s thrifted as well. You have such a great eye! XO

Perfection indeed! You are so beautiful! I love what you did with the dress (the print is a-mazing) and am so very jealous of your sewing skills. I don’t get along so well with the sewing machine… tantrums and swearing tend to erupt when I try to use them.
