Nothing screams fun to me more than polka dots. I love them. I wasn’t really a huge fan of polka dots as a little girl. My thing was big, sparkly pink poofy dresses, pink sparkly jellies (remember those?), pigtails, and lots and lots of necklaces and bracelets. I also loved stomping around the house in a pair of my mom’s old high heels. I wore them so much that I made indents in the tile grout. I still love wearing high heels today – my closet is full of them. My favorite thing to do was to run out into the garage (that’s where my chest was, full of my mom & grandmother’s old vintage clothing, high heels, purses, jewelry, and more), and dress up. Sometimes I was a princess, sometimes I was a mom, sometimes I was a rebellious teenage (my favorite role to play back then). Stomping around in my dany’s with this vintage polka dot dress really makes me remember the excitement of thinking about what I was going to dress up in next.
OMG, jellies! I had about 10 pair and I remember the day that my favorite pair (clear with sliver glitter – think Cinderella) broke on the play ground in 2nd grade… I cried so hard my Teacher thought someone hit me or I fell… I should have known then that I was a slave to fashion!

Hehe I remember dress up days, my favourite character was the poor girl in a dress my mom probably hated me for using for that particular part (It was one of her usual go-tos Hahaah!!) who had to scavenge the backyard for things that would help me live (because a treebranch is a suitable living spot)

I love a polka dot dress and it looks so cute with the vest over it. A great way to layer in the summer! I don’t know that I could pull of socks with open-toed shoes, but I love it on you!
