I’ve always loved the classic look of black & white. While I am adding color left & right to my wardrobe, my main staple will always be black. Mostly due to the fact that I’ve worn it for years working as a designer & stage manager in theater, but I do really like it. There’s just something so crisp about the huge contrast between black and white. It’s the best of both worlds. Black absorbs all color and white reflects it, in a lighting conceptual way. This main fact also attributes to why you look so bright & vibrant when you pair white with a color versus looking dark and bold when you pair black with a color or two.
I’m still feeling sick, thanks to my awesome stomach, but I am heading back to the grind tomorrow…despite my protesting stomach. Thanks to everyone for your well wishes on twitter, I really appreciate each word!

I think black will always be my favorite staple, and I agree about the way it adds a crispness. I feel like you can wear all black, even, and be ultra-chic in a minimalist way. It’s a very creative shade, in a way.
