Beauty Thursday: Sultry Smoky

Don’t you just love smoky eyes? I do. I’ve been a fan ever since I saw them. I wanted to create a look that incorporates a smoky eye, but can be used for daytime, which is a new for the smoky eye. Here is what I used to create this look:

Left to Right:
Sonia Kashuk Shadow Brush

Bust (lid only)
Skimp (highlight under brow)

Naked (all over entire eye up to brow)
Toasted (from center eye to outer corner & along brow bone)
Creep (V in outer corner)
Step 1: Prime eye with eye shadow primer. I used Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion

Step 2: Apply Naked all over entire eye up to eye brown.

Step 3: Next, apply Skimp as a highlight underneath eye brow, as shown below.

Step 4: Apply Bust all over lid & on brow bone.

Step 5: Apply Toasted from the center of the eye to the outer corner on the lid only.

Step 6: Apply Creep in the outer corner creating a V shape. Blend inside of the V to create the fading effect. Blend the outside of the V.

Step 7: Apply liquid liner & mascara.

That’s it!

This is absolutely lovely! I have always loved the smoky eye, but usually it’s done is such dark and bold colors, it doesn’t work at all for daytime. I love how you did neutral browns in this version. I do believe I might just have to try it tomorrow!
