Setting up shop

Last night I cleaned up & set up the second bedroom. I’m really excited about getting started on achieving my dream of having my own shop. This room will be where the magic happens. The closet is where I will keep inventory for the shop so I can model it for photo shoots, take measurements, and where it will rest until sold. I’ve already got some pieces lined up from my closet. I’m planning on having multiple categories (accesorries, home/decor/gifts, shoes, tops, bottoms, dresses, etc) on the site as well. I can’t wait!

I have a little relaxation, reading, movie watching & inspiration corner, all comfy & cozy with tons of pillows…

I’ve got an old speaker from my dad, which I think is really awesome, decorated with a family photo, a little turtle, my lava lamp, and my Rachel Roy surf board. I can’t wait to relax in my sitting corner and watch the bubbles go up & down in the lava lamp. It’s so calming.

This is my little stand where I keep garments not being sold that I can wear with pieces for the shop, a clock (so important, I can lose track of time so easily), my mom’s old sewing box filled with fun stuff, and a colorful sarong, just to keep my brain thinking, and my mind calm.

Of course, while I’m not working with the pieces for the shop, I’ve got Randall, the cutest little guy in the entire world to brighten my day and keep me entertained. He’s also a good cuddle bug – but only on his terms.

I’m definitely excited to embark on this new journey of mine. Once I actually open up my shop, I plan on making it’s grand opening debut right here, on the blog. I’m planning tons of good stuff for my shop, so stay tuned!!

Congrats this is such an accomplishment!! You are definitely well prepared and I can’t wait for the debut. I have often thought about doing this myself, and got about 1/2 way done with it but can’t seem to pull the trigger. I’m curious to see how things go business wise- keep me posted!
