Life has been really exciting in both the bad & good ways lately. I’m sad to say that I will most likely not be attending IFBCon in September, but I am aiming for the conference in February 2012. I’ve been having a great time making plans to hold blogger meet ups & get togethers. I’ve been swamped at work, and bored at work. Time has been flying, time has been dragging. I’ve gone to the gym three days in a row, and can already see a difference (woohoo!). Things are definitely changing and shifting, and I’m trying to go with the flow as well as stay complacent in my space. I have no worries or fears, which is a wonderful thing to say. I’m finding myself overflowing with more love than I’ve had in a while, and it’s an incredible feeling.
I want to thank you, and tell you that I love you all. You’ve been my escape & my excitement, and I am honored to have such amazing readers, fellow bloggers…friends, I would say…in my life. You guys rock.
1. Since you began blogging, do you notice a change in the types of things you gravitate towards while shopping?
Yes and no. I definitely am finding myself looking for pieces that would better flatter myself, work with what I already have in my closet, or act as an addition to an outfit I’ve been planning.
2. Do you find, as a fashion blogger, that you dress differently from your family and friends? Do they comment on that?
Yes and yes. Being a fashion blogger has in no way changed my love for fashion, shopping, styling & creating outfits, but it has impacted on the way I dress, personally. I found that blogging my looks has helped to create a consciousness of myself and what I look like (instead of walking around in PJ’s or jeans and a baggy tee all day). I find that a good thing! My family & friends who comment on it say nothing but good things to me, noticing that I look better, and I am seeming to take better care of myself.
3. What’s the weirdest fashion that you secretly like, even if you aren’t bold enough to wear it?
I sort of like the socks with shoes thing that is popular right now (I have mixed feelings), but I don’t like I would ever wear it.
4. Looking at current trends – what would like to try but need to build up the courage to do?
Definitely the sheer trend. I think that the sheer garments are absolutely beautiful, but I would feel sooo incredibly self conscious in them!!

5. Toot someone’s horn – what fashion blogger out there inspires you with her bold fashion choices?
Kristy from Full Time Fabulous. She pairs things together and wears some of the funkiest, boldest, fantastical pieces, and always looks incredible. She’s got sky high confidence and isn’t afraid to show it, which is such an inspiration for someone like me.
