Sugar pie

Outfit Details:
Cardigan – Forever 21
I love feeling girlie. That statement is definitely something my high school self would’ve beat me up for saying. Back in high school I was a tom boy. I was always wearing jeans or shorts (preferably those huge baggy JNCO’s or something to that extent), with a band tee shirt, tons of necklaces & bracelets, a slab of glitter on my eyelids, and my finger nails all different colors. I climbed trees, hung out with boys (like a boy would), talked about cars…all that good stuff. The only times I ever wore a dress was for super special events. Now, you can’t talk me out of wearing a dress!! I love them. They are so comfy, and they always look so nice. This outfit I wore for Easter (please forgive the lack of make up, I was planning on going into the pool in a few hours). Green ruffles, lace, tights, blush heels with bows, and flowers on my dress couldn’t be more girlie…and I love it. Thinking of this reminds me that today marks six months of my blog! I am amazed that it has been 6 months already. Thank you all for being such amazing readers. I wouldn’t be anywhere with out you!!
I hope all of you enjoyed your weekends, and if you celebrate Easter, I hope you had a wonderful Easter celebration!!

  4. I agree I’m definitely loving those grey-ish colour tights. I love feeling girly, although my style used to be more Tom-boy chic when I was younger! I adore lace and ruffles, and there’s nothing like a great pair of heels! You look great! -xo

Those shoes are so wonderful– I’ve had my eye on them for a while now! You and I always seem to be on similar shoe wavelengths.

Happy blogiversary, girly! Congrats on that. And you’re completely adorable, I love this look. My sister and I were polar opposites growing up: she was the feminine one and I was the tomboy, she was the ballerina and I rode horses. She used to take the longest time to get ready even when we were little, she had to have her little ruffle socks on and no marks on her Keds sneakers. Meanwhile my mom would be telling me,”Casee, you have to brush your hair.” (A story my sis will happily relay to …anyone who’ll listen.) Now she’s the beer and football girl and I’m the fashion and beauty junkie. Go figure!

  12. Brittney says:

the collar on your shirt is absolutely adorable. i am in love with it! and i’m pretty sure the color of your tights is perfection–they look super versatile.

  13. Aw, I love when your dog sneaks in photos! I was also a tomboy. I wore jeans and t-shirts everyday and didn’t know or care a bit about fashion! Now I’m obsessed with dresses and skirts and rarely wear pants. You look super cute and I love your shoes!!!

I love this whole look! That polka dot dress is too cute, and you did a great job matching the length of your cardigan to the hem of the dress. This is one of those outfits that looks super-easy in theory but I could never replicate … love it.

  15. Great shoes, and great outfit overall too. You’re always so “put-together” and I hadn’t even noticed you weren’t wearing makeup, which makes me jealous. If I ever went outside without a stitch of makeup, people would run away screaming, I’m sure. ;)

  16. Tashrin says:

I love this dress and your reminiscence of your highschool days sound a bit to familiar. :) I was a tomboy through and through. But now I don’t even own a single pair of pants, such is the irony of life.

Hope you had a fabulous time.

    Love
