The ballet is over. It feels so insane to think that for the last three months, we have been working so hard, working each weekend, and the show is done. The 8th Grade Girls really surprised me on opening night. They always do a speech on opening night to thank the various teachers that have helped them for the ballet. I usually stay backstage on headset during this, so I can call the cues. Well, this time, the girls asked for me to come out on stage (after they’d thanked the ballet teachers), and presented me with this gorgeous bouquet of roses, and a small tiffany’s box, inside sat this cute little anchor necklace. I was so floored, I was speechless. I am going to post the ballet photos, at least a few of them, to share one of my lighting designs with you.
I hope all of you had a great weekend!! Happy Monday!

That’s such a sweet gesture. Makes your heart melt and go even harder for the students, don’t you think? You look amazing in this ensemble and may I say: I WANT YOUR SHOES BAD! Have a great monday too
I love your spring dress! Those shoes are great – remind me of Jeffrey Campbells. You must be working with some great kids and how nice of them to recognize you. You have very pretty skin.
Yes – I used to have to lug around monitors and desktops and crawl under desks. Not anymore! Thank goodness!
