I am back home from my amazing trip to New York City. We had such a fabulous time. It was freezing when we arrived on Monday & Tuesday, but Wednesday – Friday was absolutely gorgeous. We walked so much, and now that I am home, I feel like such a lazy lump driving everywhere. This is the first post with some of my pictures from our trip. We shot these in Central Park, which was more beautiful than I remembered (minus all the construction on Central Park East), and it was cold. On this day Scott & I began our morning in Central Park, and then took the train to Lynbrook to visit my grandfather for coffee & coconut pie. It was absolutely lovely. We had four hours of great conversation in a nice calm atmosphere, before we headed over to my Aunt’s house for a family dinner. The dinner was so much fun! Just imagine: a thin gorgeous woman in all black with tons of eye make up and a thick New York accent, a baby, a typical german new yorker, a ten year old girl who does not stop talking, a quiet grandmother, my mom (sweet, G.I. Ghandi), my dad (internationally travelled man), Scott, my tattoo’d, strong brother, and me sitting at the dinner table screaming over pasta, bread, butter, and chicken parmesan. Add a 280lb bull mastiff and a hyper active yellow lab, walking around and under the table we were all sitting at into that mix. It was awesome, and felt like a scene from a movie. I’ve never enjoyed a family dinner more than this evening. Especially coming from my very old-fashioned classical grandfather’s house with his china, cups and saucers, and beautiful pie. Just one of the many great days of my trip.
Stay tuned for more pictures from our trip!! I will definitely posting more. On a side note, I’d like to welcome my newest blog sponsor, Stephanie from The-Loud Mouth. She is awesome, and I love her!
P.S. Thank you all so much for your amazing comments! I am sorry I have not responded yet, I just got back in town on Friday night, and worked Tech Rehearsals all weekend for the ballet that is opening on Thursday. I will be responding soon, promise!!!
