Last night Scott & I met up with a few of our friends at Hardrock Cafe to have an early celebration of my 27th birthday. It had been a while since we had been there and they really changed stuff up!! The last time I was at the Hardrock was when I was stage managing a touring show in Paradise Live (one of the many venues at the Hardrock).
I have always loved Hardrock Cafe. I have been to so many locations: Hollywood – FL, Amsterdam – Netherlands, Gatlinburg – TN, Capetown – South Africa….I’m sure there’s more that I am leaving out. There’s something so fun about all of the memorabilia all over the place that makes me happy.
Me, Alana, & Scott
My good friend Erin & her friend Ryan
I have always been one of those people that would watch the shows like VH1′s Pop Up Video, or Matt Pinfield on MTV. I really enjoy learning about the history of all different types of music, and I honestly think the memorabilia is awesome.
My good friend Alana
I find history in general fascinating. Scott is a big history buff, and knows so much about tons of stuff!! He has taught me so much, and I learn something new everyday from him. He makes me wish I had payed attention more in my history classes in school (they were not my favorite. I preferred science, art history, orchestra, and musical theater/drama).
What about you, do you enjoy history? What do you like about it?

love that jacket its awesome and happy belated birthday
oops its not belated!!!
Happy birthday!
Love your jacket, love Hard Rock Cafe! I’ve been to it once or twice in different cities. It was fun — and yummy
I only like history that has to do with other subjects I like — music, movies, art, fashion, etc…

Happy early birthday! Love your boots, I need a classic pair like this.
Happy birthday!! Love your jacket and the boots are rockin’. Hope you had fun.
I am definitely not a fan of history, unless it involves fashion or music lol. I love the jacket and boots, you look like you had a great time with your friends and your man
Stay stylish!

Had a blast!! We need to get together again soon. I hope that your birthday week is filled with love and good times…
Looks like such a fun night! I loved History, English and Art History!
jacket is a stunner. you look sleek and city-city, perfect for a night out of the town. The make-up is posh. You’re a fancy girl….
and I should love history more than I do. I read the People’s History of the United States, loved it, and then promptly forgot it. You know what they say: people who forget history are doomed to forget it.
You seriously shut the shit DOWN in this outfit, I love it! Looks like you had a great time, and happy b-day :

I do love history! I especially love historic buildings and exploring them.
Your bow print is so cute and pretty, and the jacket is wonderful!
I love the boots! Very cute outfit!
Hardrock is a super fun place to spend your bday! I know I always have a great time there!
Happy 27! The cardigan has such great detail in the buttons that it looks like a jacket.
Personally, I didn’t begin to care about history until I was older and the more I’ve learned about it, the more I understand why so many things are the way they are in this crazy world.
You’ve really been quite a world traveler.
What a sweet bow top! I remembered going to a lot of hard rock cafes during my Europe trip and I always ate the macaroni there. Happy Birthday!
@MJ Thank you so much! I was in love with these boots for a while and waited forever for them to go on sale (simply because I refuse to pay $200 for a pair of shoes)
xo
AUGH! I want those boots and that jacket! You’re making me wanna shop, Kirstin!
That jacket is so fantastic! i love the detailed tank you are wearing underneath it! very chic

Love that jacket! Adorable buttons
Happy birthday!
I am kind of obsessed with history, it’s one of my true loves.. I have a history degree, it was always my favourite subject all through high school and that just continued to university!
I especially love fashion history and the history of World War Two and of Russia. I haven’t studied history for a long time, but I like to read a lot of historical fiction to immerse myself in the times.
First, I love your jacket. My sister brought back a plum colored one from Russia that’s very similar to yours!
Secondly, I love American History. Specifically anything about the founding of the U.S. My U.S. History class is my favorite.
Happy belated birthday! You look fab!
I am also a fan of pop-up video and pawn stars. I LOVE LOVE LOVE little tidbits of history.
