These past two days have been great. We spent Christmas Eve with some good family friends and ate amazing roasted/smoked pig (I’ve never had it, and oh my goodness…it was amazing), and enjoyed a fire for hours with great conversation. Yesterday Scott & I headed over to my parents house for dinner & to exchange gifts. It was so much fun! We all received some wonderful gifts, and I really enjoyed watching people as they opened their gifts. My parents surprised Scott, my brother and myself: they got us a new TV!!! We couldn’t believe it! It was insane..I still cannot believe it. After our gift exchange we ate dinner. My mom had been preparing the sauce for two days, and it was phenomenal. I love her traditional Italian dinners!
Once we were completely stuffed of spaghetti, home made meatballs, veal, sausage and chicken parmigiana, salad and bread, we set out dessert.
These are my mom’s amazing cookies from her Baking Extravaganza. Everything is made from scratch!!
After our family gathering, Scott & I headed down to our friend Zach’s house for his Christmas Party. It was so good to see Zach & Sueli. I love them so much! We left around 12:30am and headed home. Once home I felt the need to unpack all of our gifts, set up the beautiful lamp my mom gave me, and Scott & I set up our new TV…after I was done and got everything working, I realized it was 3am, and I should probably get to bed!!
I love my new lamp!!!
How was your Christmas??
