I got a new haircut! It’s about time, right? The last time I had my hair cut and styled was almost exactly a year ago…I’m not the kind of girl that goes to get my nails done and pedicures and hair cuts all the time. For the past year I have trimmed my hair myself, done my eyebrows myself, and given myself mini pedicures and manicures. It just seems more cost efficient that way. Plus, I can do my nails and my brows the way I want them to be (I’m kind of a perfectionist…Ok, I lied. I’m a huge perfectionist).
So today my cousins from Albany are coming to town. I am really excited. I haven’t seen them since last November. It’s crazy, I used to see them all the time (everyday), until my uncle decided to move up to Albany after my aunt passed away a few years ago. My cousins, Ryan (who is 18) and Shannon (who is 14), are such awesome kids. You wouldn’t think they were their ages upon speaking to them, you would think they were 25 or so. Sad how losing your mother can make you grow up so fast. She was a great woman. Here she is at my high school graduation party (back in 2002):
Since my cousins are coming down, Scott & I tore the house apart to make sure it was cleaned to perfection for their visit. I think we’ve done 6 loads of laundry, bathed the puppies, washed their beds and Randall’s toys, mopped the floor twice, dusted everything, and I can’t even begin to think of what else we’ve done. All I know is that I’ve been nonstop this week. I got these really nice cinnamon scented candles to burn in the house (makes it smell all spicy and autumn like), and I spilled candle wax all over the bottom of my jeans (That’s why in the first picture my legs are crossed at the ankle, haha!). Anyway, I’m going to finish off with the most recent photos of my pups
